This book conveys a technique for achieving insight, tranquility, and clarity of expression. A wonderful book for anyone interested in creating health and healing in their lives. Recommended by PCF facilitator, Tasha Burg, M.A. who trained with Barbara Ganim in Expressive Art process.
Tasha Burg, M.A. recommends Dr. Suess's, My Many Colored Days as a nice way for the children to process and understand the expression of emotion. Tasha's parent/child workshop, The Colors of My Days draws inspiration from this book.
Mia Bolte, M.A. facilitates the Addressing the Inner Critic workshop and suggests the following books:
Being sensitive is a normal trait--nothing defective about it. But because society rewards the outgoing personality and treats shyness and sensitivity as something to be overcome. This book helps HSPs to understand themselves and their sensitive trait and its impact on personal history, career, relationships, and inner life.
This book reveals the origin of self-hate, how self-hate works, how to identify it, and how to go beyond it.
Is the mind our enemy? It can be. The key to peaceful and sane living, says Mipham, is training our minds. This book blends a philosophically savvy explanation of why meditation is necessary with an artful and accessible introduction to the basics of meditation.
Creative inspiration and self-awareness can be found in any of the books by SARK. Teresa Thomas-Carroll, PCF director, enjoys SARK's colorful, down-to-earth, accessible style for creative motivation. Her favorite is in fun workbook form, SARK's New Creative Companion.
