News/Announcements

We are making exciting changes with our newsletter. Beginning in January, we are going to a monthly newsletter rather then sending separate updates. We think you’ll like the readability and will find value in each issue.

Mini-Reflection Exercise

During the business of the holiday season, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and stressed from all the "doing" we do. It can help to bring some mindfulness to all of your “doing” to make the season feel more meaningful. Try the following simple exercise:

  • Let your mind relax--look out your window or close your eyes and take some long, deep breaths.

  • When you think of what you'd like to pay attention to this season, what word or image comes to your mind?

  • Allow this word or image to help you to be mindful in the midst of all your preparations and celebrations. For example, if "absorb" came to mind, then you'd likely remember to let yourself be in the present moment and really pay attention to what surrounds you.
