Breezy Summer Tips (contributed by PCF Facilitators):
My focus is to 'keep it simple' this summer. And I schedule in time for self care or quality family togetherness so it does not end up last on the list. -- Tasha Burg I give myself the gift doing things like gardening (and hanging out in my garden) as a reward for getting my important daily tasks done. This way, the things that used to serve as avoidance behavior instead become my rewards (and I don't feel deprived!) -- Mary'n Hallock To make the most of the time I have with my three kids, we brainstormed a list of desired summer "Destinations and Activities". During my non-work times we can check the ideas list and go on an adventure. When I am working, the kids are reminded of the fun times we've had....and look forward to more fun ahead. -- Barb Plunkett I honor the quieter pace of summer by not feeling guilty taking time to read and relax outside. Plenty of tasks can wait, summer weather can't. -- Becca Pournoor We eat and cook outdoors as much as we can. With two young kids, it reduces clean-up time (squirrels take care of the crumbs!) and makes mealtimes feel special. -- Teresa Thomas-Carroll Take a breather with the Mini-Reflection Exercise and have a breezy, memorable summer! In pursuit of our own ideal lives, we aren't planning to offer public workshops until fall. We continue to book individual sessions and group workshops throughout the year.
